Mark has worked in a range of operational and technology roles including for a multi-national bank and a capital city daily newspaper, but prior to starting Blue Dog Digital he worked for 16 years at one of the world’s biggest mining companies, culminating in a global management role after 7 years on iron ore mines in the beautiful Pilbara region of outback Western Australia – home to some of the most scenic landscapes anywhere in the world. Mark grew up on a sheep station in outback WA and although he is now based in Perth he has never lost his love of the outdoors and landscapes.

Photography runs in Mark’s family with an uncle and several cousins published photographers, so it was only natural for Mark to pick up his first SLR at 15. He is also obsessed with aeroplanes and flying, so progressing to drone photography was the perfect way to combine two of his biggest passions. Mark has a Remote Aircraft Pilot License (RePL) and holds a Remote Aircraft Operator’s Certificate (ReOC) 7796, both issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia.
